The BeDrock HD is a solid option as far as ladder racks for the back of your F-150. Especially since this guy's the short bed crew cab, you're pretty limited as far as your cargo area, so this will allow you to take advantage of the space above your bed for those bigger bulkier items. The BedRock system is rated for up to 300 pounds on road and up to 180 pounds off road. The bars themselves are 78 inches long, about three inches wide and an inch and a half tall. So that's gonna work for your kayak carriers, cargo boxes and bike racks, just about any rooftop accessory that uses clamp hooks. more

The Erickson Ladder Rack is a nice lightweight aluminum rack that's gonna give you a lot of capacity. It's rated up to 800 pounds, so it'll handle those bigger bulkier loads like lumber, possibly PVC pipe or longer things that wouldn't fit into your short box Ford. Essentially, this is gonna be more value minded and very utility 'cause it's not very pretty or you know, appealing as far as the look, but it does have a lot of capacity. Our ladder rack has a 800 pound capacity, so that's gonna work really well for your heavier loads. This is going to be a solid way if you're looking to carry any kind of longer items such as ladders, lumbers, I even see people throwing kayaks and standup paddle boards up here. It's a great way to clear up some space in your truck, get it up there and secure it nice and still be able to use your truck bed for all those other things.Now, I only have this partially installed. It's held in place with these C clamps. It's a pretty quick and easy way, it doesn't require any drilling and what I like about it is it allows you to kind of adjust it if you want to but we like putting ours in this configuration we have today. So, essentially what you do is you take this bolt and connect it into that foot, and we'll just tighten those down. more

Buyers Products Ladder Racks Review - 2016 Ford F-150- Video
Today on our 2016 Ford F-150, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Buyers Products Over-The -Cab Truck Bed Ladder Rack. I've already got it in place just to give you a good idea of what it looks like. As you can see, it's going to allow us to carry those elongated items over our cab; so things like ladders, lumber, PVC, anything like that, it's going to work out nicely. I've got more than enough clearance between my cab and the underside of the bar, so we don't need to worry about anything coming in contact with it.Now my F-150 also has a six-and-a-half foot bed here, but it'll work out nicely with a five-and a-half foot bed, eight-foot bed, any one of those. Now the whole thing is made out of a steel construction with a 1,000 pound weight capacity, so we've got more than enough to carry our gear. Also in each corner, I'd like to point out that we have a variety of tie down loops to work with: hooks, straps, rope, anything that we need to tie down our gear. more

Now with this installed, it's going to allow us to carry ladders, lumbar, paddle boards, kayaks, surf skis, really anything elongated. Both bars do feature at track and they also come with four supply tie downs that you can move and lock down for making sure all your gear is secure. With the clamp-on design, it's going to be easy to install with no drilling and it's also going to fit many different truck applications. As you can see, we already have the front section installed and we'll go ahead and install the back one together.You're going to take your ladder rack and carefully put it onto your bed rails in the general area of where you're going to want it to sit. It's going to empty up more space so you can carry things like bike racks, kayak carriers and skis and snowboards.The adjustable towers make it easy to change up our crossbar spread for any accessory we are using. Our clamps are also going to be key-to-like with a lock on there to prevent any theft or tampering. We can easily just lift up on our clamp, adjust it and set it back into place.The towers are going to have rubber bottoms to prevent any scratches or abrasions on our truck. Today, on our 2017 Ford F-150, we're going to be test fitting the Thule Xsporter Pro Adjustable Height Ladder Rack, part number TH500XT. This has a carrying capacity of 450 pounds, and it clamps onto your truck bed using the clamps provided. They also do have locks available, as well, so you can secure this to your truck bed. Now, to make it adjustable to varying truck bed widths, you can loosen up these two bolts at the top on both sides, and that'll actually widen it or narrow it, however which way you need. The bars themselves are aerodynamic in shape to cut down wind noise and drag while you're driving, and it does come with these stoppers to hold down your loads, whether it be ladder racks, lumber, or anything else you might be hauling. We have these fit dials here, which you would turn to the left to loosen them up on both sides. Lower them to whatever height you need. more

You're going to take your ladder rack and carefully put it onto your bed rails in the general area of where you're going to want it to sit. We're going to take our clamp with our T-plate on the bolt, and what I like to do is slide it in the channel it's going to be going in the bottom, and then slide it over and then we can get it loosely tightened by hand for now. more

Now this heavy duty ladder rack is going to let you carry ladders, lumber, and just about anything that's long that you want to put on top of your vehicle. With our adjustable load stops here, you're always going to make sure that they're not going to slide off by just adjusting them in against the sides of your load. It's also going to have these convenient tie down cleats so if you had a large load tied on there, you can just take your rope and you'll wrap it around the cleat to help keep it in place. It's going to have a powder coated finish that's going to help protect it against rust and corrosion and it's also going to have corrosion protected bolts all through. TracRac TracONE Ladder Racks Review - 2016 Ford F-150- Video
Today, on this 2016 Ford F150, we're gong to be test fitting the Track Rack Track One Truck Bed Ladder Rack, part number TA27000-01. This ladder rack has an eight hundred pound weight capacity. You can carry anything from ladders, to lumber, to con-well pipe, anything you can think of for the job site, as well as, kayaks or even other water sport carriers. Excuse me. You can tie them down by using these tie down points here, which you can loosen up and slide back and forth on the track rack on the top of the rack. It does have a nice aerodynamic shape on both bars, which is going to cut down your wind noise and drag while you're driving. It can be adjusted for varying truck bed widths by loosening up these two Allen head bolts on the top of the legs, and that's going to be for each of the legs. How it attaches to the truck bed, excuse me, is you're going to be using these two C-clamps here, and it's going to be the same for all feet. There is going to be no drilling required to actually install this. We are going to go ahead and show you how the last two go on. more

Thule Ladder Racks Review - 2016 Ford F-150- Video
Today on this 2016 Ford F150 we're going to be test fitting the Thule Xsporter Pro adjustable height truck bed ladder rack, part number TH500XT. This rack does have a weight capacity of 450 pounds. It can carry anything from lumber, to ladders, to conduit pipe, whatever you may need for the job site as well as water sport carriers. You can tie them down using these adjustable tie downs by loosening up these knobs. You can slide them up and down to the t track to wherever you may need. This is constructed from a nice solid aluminum and it also has a nice aerodynamic shape on the bars to ensure there's going to be less wind noise and drag while you drive. It does fit varying truck bed widths by loosening up two allen head bolts on each leg and making your adjustments. It also is adjusted by height with these quick dial knobs, which you can see these large black knobs on each foot. more

TracRac TracONE Truck Bed Ladder Rack Installation - 2000 Ford F-150- Video
Today on this 2000 Ford F150, we're going to review the Track Rack Track One, Truck Bed Ladder Rack, part number TA27000-01. With our typical ladder in place, you can see how much it raises above the bed of the truck, and also, you get lots of clearance, probably about six inches or so, above the cab, in case your ladder went over the cab of the truck. I also want you to know, if you can put all your load on top of your ladder rack, it actually allows you full view out the back of your vehicle, if you don't have anything in the bed of your truck. With our typical ladder in place, you're not only limited to that. You can also use it for lumber, or anything else long, such as plastic piping that you can't keep in the bed of your truck. Starting from the top, you can see that it has a built-in tie-down point here, and on the other side of our ladder, as well. The straps that we're using do not come with the ladder rack. more

Thule Ladder Racks Review - 2011 Ford F-150- Video
Today on this 2011 Ford F150 we're going to be test fitting the Thule Exporter Pro adjustable height truck bed ladder rack, part number TH500XT. a couple of the features about this ladder rack. It has these nice aerodynamic crossbars here which will actually cut down the wind drag and noise. It also has these adjustable load stops and tie down points for whatever accessories you may have up there. Just loosen it like so and they'll be able to move into whatever position you need. There's also a rubber strip in the T slot here where they sit which keeps out any dirt or grime while you're driving, as well as seals it up so it would also cut down the wind noise. These are attached to the truck bed by the feet here, and these 2 clamps. There's going to be 2 clamps per foot on all of them, which means this is a no drill installation, and all you're really going to need is a 7/32 Allen head bit. more

Today on our 2015 Ford F150, we're doing a test fit of the TracRac Tracone Truck Bed Ladder Rack. Part number is TA27000-01. We already have it on our vehicle, just going to show you a few things. It's very easy to install, like I said, made out of a sturdy aluminum, you can adjust it to fit your bed. Right here, these two Allen bolts, if you want to just unloosen those, your bed is smaller, you can adjust it, and the width-wise, you have your tie-downs up here, up top there, also can move. We already have the clamps already down on three of them, I'm going to show you how to put on the last one. Open the bed here, what we have here is we have our clamps, our little metal pieces. more

Rola Ladder Racks Review - 2015 Ford F-150- Video
Today on our 2015 Ford F-150 we're doing a test fit of the roller truck bed ladder rack. That part number is 59742. This ladder rack is designed to work with up to 400 pounds, and we've already got three of our four sides down and connected so we're just going to do our last two clamps over here on our passenger side in the rear. You're going to set the clamps down here. If we take a look at them we will bolt and then wing nut at the top here. What we'll do is we'll sit it around our tuck bed and then we'll start by taking down our bolt. That's going to push that piece just up so it's sitting up against the truck bed. more

Now this is a great clap on style ladder rack, there easy to install. We also have this pad here that goes underneath the rack so that you won't damage your truck bed there. So we're going to go head and climb up in our bed. Now we do have 2 different types of claps, we have our back clap that's where the lock is going to slide into. more

Today a 2008 Ford F150 Super Crew Cab we're going to install part number TA21508-02-02. This is a tracrac SR sliding truck bed ladder rack with the over the cab extension. Now, first step to get our truck ready so we can install is to install our base rails. Base rail has a hole in it that lines up with the stake pockets that are in the truck. There are stake pockets here and there's one up towards the front here. However, on our truck there's no covers for the stake packets. more

Today on our 2009 Ford F150 Super Cab, we're going to be installing the TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack with over the cab extension, part number TA21501-02-02. Here's what our TracRac sliding truck bed ladder rack with the overhead cab extension installed looks like installed on our vehicle. We've already got a ladder installed on it and you may notice that there's some red straps that we have that are helping to secure the ladder to the ladder rack. These are sold separately and in this case, we're just using some simple cam buckle style tie-down straps. The ones that we're using are part number 05605. In addition to the top tie-down plate, it is adjustable or anchor point. We also have this tie-down plates here secured to the uprights. more

Today on this 2014 Ford F150, were going to install part number TA21000-02-02. This is a TracRac Ladder Rack.To start off, well go ahead and work with the base rails first. Then well go ahead and mark our holes that will get our hardware for our specific truck. These hole locations are located in the instructions.Insert one plastic washer into each 3-inch socket head cap screw. Insert the socket head cap screws through the rail holes that we marked. On the opposite side, thread the bolt through a 1/8-inch rubber spacer. more

Thule Xsporter Truck Rack Installation - 2012 Ford F-150- Video
Today on our 2012 Ford F-150, we're going to install the Thule Xsporter Truck Bed Rack, part number TH422XT. First, we're going to need our four upright supports and our upright rails, and we're going to assemble them together. We'll insert our upright rails into the upright support and line up the slots. Once you have the slot lined up, you can close the cam handle, securing the upright rail into the support. We'll assemble all four of the upright rail assemblies. The next thing we need to do is clean up our bed rails. more
